Seven: Magic number

It might be time to end the Pickorama and just pencil in seven wins the rest of the way.

For the fourth straight week, I posted a garish 7-3 record, putting me well behind last year’s standard. The good news is that I have several weeks remaining in which to put together something better than seven wins.

Here we go (home team in CAPS):

HOLLISTON over Medfield: Win sets up a showdown with Hopkinton next week.

Bridgewater-Raynham over DARTMOUTH: Trojans earn a tough road victory.

XAVERIAN over Brockton: Hawks bounce back from last week’s loss to Catholic Memorial.

Everett over LOWELL: Take the over as these are two high-powered offenses.

DANVERS over Lynn Classical: Falcons get the call in this battle of unbeatens.

OLD ROCHESTER over Somerset Berkley: Running game proves to be the difference.

MELROSE over Stoneham: Red Raiders solidify their hold on first place in the Middlesex Freedom.

LEXINGTON over Arlington: Too many weapons here.

SWAMPSCOTT over Lynn English: Big Blue have it going.

Lawrence Academy over GOVERNOR’S ACADEMY: Hate picking against Jim O’Leary’s Governors, but getting the sense Lawrence Academy is the class of the ISL. Last week: 7-3 Season to date: 28-12
