A reputed Dorchester gangbanger accused of killing a motorcyclist on Interstate 93 before gunning down his girlfriend was ordered held without bail yesterday.

Lance Holloman, 30, who police identified as an active member of the Wainwright Street gang, hid in a Dorchester District Court hallway yesterday as prosecutors detailed an eighthour rampage that began with a road rage incident on the Zakim Bridge and ended with two people dead.

Prosecutors said Holloman was driving north on I-93 in a red Jeep Renegade Sept. 10 when he rammed an SUV three times around 1 p.m.

When both vehicles exited the highway on Purchase Street, prosecutors said, Holloman’s 24-year-old girlfriend, Michaela Gringas, and one other person got out of the Jeep.

About 20 minutes later, police said Holloman fired three shots from the vehicle at Scott Stevens Sr., 54, and his son, Scott Stevens Jr., who were riding motorcycles on I-93 south.

Stevens Jr., who was shot in the head, was killed. Stevens Sr., who was wounded in the shoulder, survived.

Minutes after investigators located the Jeep in Dorchester about 9:30 p.m., officers responding to a report of shots fired at Holloman’s house were met by a woman who led them inside and said: “Look in the living room, that is why you are here,” according to court documents.

Inside they found Gringas, who had been shot multiple times in the head, wrapped in a dark comforter, according to police. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Prosecutors said the man who rented the red Jeep for Holloman said he was known as “Prophet” and identified Gringas as his girlfriend.

Holloman was later arrested after running to police in Franklin “screaming for help” and saying people were trying to kill him, prosecutors said.

Holloman’s defense attorney didn’t contest her client being held without bail.

Relatives of the Stevenses declined to comment as they left the courthouse yesterday.
