Warriors golden in 2nd-half rally

Stephen Curry scored 35 points, Kevin Durant had 27 and the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors overcame a 22-point halftime deficit in a 124-116 victory over the 76ers last night in Philadelphia.

Joel Embiid scored 21 points and Ben Simmons had 23 points and 12 assists for Philadelphia, which led 47-28 after one quarter and 74-52 at the half.

But the Warriors erased that large deficit with a furious rally in the third quarter. Curry’s 3-pointer got them within one point. He then made a pair of free throws to give Golden State a 90-89 lead.

The two-time NBA MVP hit another 3 and Draymond Green blew past a defender for a dunk to make it 99-89 going into the fourth.

A raucous, sellout crowd that chanted “Trust the Process” most of the night went silent while the Warriors put on a shooting clinic in the second half.

Hornets 102, Clippers 87 — Kemba Walker had 26 points, Dwight Howard added 16 points and 16 rebounds, and host Charlotte snapped a six-game losing streak with a win over struggling Los Angeles.

Walker, who was coming off a 47-point performance in a loss to Chicago Friday, was 8-of-17 from the field and 6-of-9 from 3-point range despite a sprained wrist.

Rockets 105, Grizzlies 83 — James Harden scored 29 points, Clint Capela had 17 points and 13 rebounds and visiting Houston handled Memphis.

Chris Paul added 17 points and six assists for the Rockets in his second game since returning from a left knee injury. Houston was 18-for-43 shooting from 3-point range.

Mavericks 111, Bucks 79 — Wesley Matthews scored a season-high 22 points, and host Dallas stopped a fourgame slide by thumping Milwaukee.

Matthews also had eight assists while helping the Mavericks to their first win since Nov. 7 at Washington. He went 6-for-8 from 3-point range.

Jazz 125, Magic 85 — Rodney Hood scored 31 points, Derrick Favors had 25 points and 11 rebounds and visiting Utah routed Orlando.

Hood was 12-for-21 from the field in his highest-scoring game of the season.
