O’Reilly holds tongue
I haven’t read Howie Carr’s column in years, because I try to limit my exposure to him for the sake of my health (“Lauer only the latest nefarious alum of Ch. 7,” Dec. 3). But morbid curiosity got the best of me and I was drawn in by the tantalizing headline.
I can’t believe that I could be made to see Bill O’Reilly in a positive light — but Carr managed it. In the column, Carr asks O’Reilly about how Matt Lauer had grilled him about his own sex scandal.
Carr: “I asked O’Reilly if he was now taking any satisfaction in Lauer being hoist with his own petard.” O’Reilly replied: “None.”
