Brayden Point scored 36 seconds into overtime and the Tampa Bay Lightning completed a perfect fourgame homestand with a 4-3 victory against the Winnipeg

Jets last night in Tampa.

Point eluded a Jets defender and put back a backhander past Connor Hellebuyck for the win.

Yanni Gourde, Mikhail Sergachev and Nikita Kucherov also scored for Tampa Bay, and Andrei Vasilevski­y made 17 saves.

Andrew Copp, Kyle Connors and Nikolaj Ehlers scored for Winnipeg, which has lost three straight. Hellebuyck stopped 24 shots.

Ehlers and Kucherov, with his 20th, traded goals 1:52 apart midway through the third. Vasileskiy made two strong saves on Ehlers just before Kucherov’s goal tied the score 3-3.

Tampa Bay’s league-best power-play unit has a goal in nine straight games.

Oilers 6, Canadiens 2 — Jujhar Khaira’s first career twogoal game led visiting Edmonton in the lopsided win against Montreal that also included tallies by Mike Cammalleri, Milan Lucic, Oscar Klefbom and Yohann Auvitu.

The Canadiens have lost three straight at home (0-21) since a five-game winning streak. Goalie Carey Price was pulled in the second period for Antti Niemi.

Blues 6, Red Wings 1 — St. Louis scored four times in a five-shot stretch to rout host Detroit, with Jaden Schwartz, Vladimir Sobotka, Scottie Upshall, Jay Bouwmeeste­r, Brayden Schenn and Dmitrij Jaskin contributi­ng goals to the win.

Maple Leafs 4, Penguins 3 — Tyler Bozak potted a pair of goals, and visiting Toronto got scores from Conner Brown and James van Riemsdyk in the game’s opening 1:42 on the way to beating Pittsburgh.

Rangers 5, Devils 2 — Mats Zuccarello scored a pair of goals, Henrik Lundqvist made 26 saves and host New York beat New Jersey, with Jimmy Vesey, Jesper Fast and Kevin Hayes adding single tallies to the victory.

Blue Jackets 1, Coyotes 0 — Josh Anderson scored 30 seconds into the game and Sergei Bobrovsky did the rest, recording his 23rd career shutout on the strength of 35 saves as Columbus edged out visiting Arizona.

Avalanche 7, Panthers 3 — In Sunrise, Fla., Nathan MacKinnon and Alexander Kerfoot tallied 41 seconds apart in the second period as Colorado snapped a fourgame skid, against Florida.

Golden Knights 5, Stars 3 — David Perron, Reilly Smith and Brayden McNabb scored in a span of 3:37 during the second period, and Vegas beat host Dallas for its fourth straight victory.
