DeRozan’s like royalty to Raptors

DeMar DeRozan scored 13 of his 25 points in the third quarter and the Toronto Raptors held off the Kings, 102-87, yesterday in Sacramento for their sixth straight victory.

Kyle Lowry added 15 points, 12 rebounds and six assists on an off-shooting day, Serge Ibaka scored 20 points and C.J. Miles had 11 for the Raptors.

Toronto led by 15 in the first half, but couldn’t shake the Kings until the third when DeRozan repeatedly got into the lane and to the free throw line. He also made two late baskets in the fourth after Sacramento pulled to 90-83. DeRozan shot 9-of-15 and was 7-of-11 on free throws.

Zach Randolph had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Kings, and Buddy Hield added 17 points. Sacramento had beaten Toronto four straight times.

Pelicans 131, 76ers 124 — Jrue Holiday scored 19 of his 34 points in the fourth quarter and host New Orleans overcame an eight-point deficit in the final period to beat Philadelph­ia.

Anthony Davis added 29 points and DeMarcus Cousins 23 for the Pelicans. Rajon Rondo contribute­d 13 points and 18 assists.

Ben Simmons had 27 points and 10 rebounds for the 76ers, who were led by J.J. Redick’s 28 points.

Philadelph­ia sat Joel Embiid because of stiffness in the 7-footer’s back. He also sat out Saturday night’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers to rest his surgically repaired knee.

Pacers 126, Nuggets 116 — In Indianapol­is, Victor Oladipo had a career-high 47 points and added seven rebounds and six assists to lead Indiana in the overtime win against Denver.

The Pacers used an 8-0 scoring run capped by Thad Young’s putback with five seconds left in regulation to tie it. Then, Indiana got the first nine points in overtime to secure its fourth straight win, outscoring the Nuggets 12-2 in the extra period.

Myles Turner finished with 24 points and eight rebounds for the Pacers.

Trey Lyles led the Nuggets with a career-high 25 points, and Gary Harris and Will Barton each had 21.

Knicks 111, Hawks 107 — Kristaps Porzingis scored 30 points, Doug McDermott added 23 off the bench and New York beat visiting Atlanta.

One night after losing to NBA-worst Chicago on the road, the Knicks managed to hold off a fourth-quarter rally by the Hawks, who have the second-worst record in the league.

Jarrett Jack added 19 points for the Knicks. Dennis Schroder scored 21 points and Ersan Ilyasova had 20 for Atlanta.

Timberwolv­es 97, Mavericks 92 — In Minneapoli­s, Karl-Anthony Towns had 28 points, Jimmy Butler scored 10 of his 22 in the fourth quarter and Minnesota held off Dallas.

Towns added 12 rebounds for his NBA-leading 21st double-double of the season. The Timberwolv­es committed 18 turnovers but hit four free throws at the end to pull away in a game in which no team led by more than six points.

Harrison Barnes scored 19 points for the Mavericks.
