CELEBS CHEER ON PATS

-

All eyes were on the field at yesterday’s AFC Championship game, and a number of those eyes just happened to belong to some notable names.

Take, for instance, Bruins right winger David Pastrnak and goalie Tuukka Rask, who both made it down to Gillette Stadium for the game. The hockey players even participated in tailgating activities in the parking lot prior to kickoff, which included giving the football a good old fashioned spike.

Meanwhile, Red Sox outfielder Brock Holt and his wife, Lakyn Pennington, used their pregame time to take a spin around the stadium — all while sporting some matching “Not Done” beanies.

The Cross Insurance box was apparently packed with quite the mix of recognizable fans. We’re told that comedian Lenny Clarke, Dropkick Murphys bassist and singer Ken Casey, ex-boxer Micky Ward, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer and State6 CEO Aaron Sells were all spotted among the folks seated there.

Wide receiver Danny Amendola’s girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, was present to show her support for the team. The former Miss Universe brought an entire entourage along for the ride. By Culpo’s side: Jesse Metcalfe, whom you may remember from the 2000s when he played John Rowland on “Desperate Housewives” and starred in “John Tucker Must Die,” and Cara Santana, who’s appeared on shows like “Santa Clara Diet” and “Salem.” The two actors, both working on the upcoming flick “Steps,” also spent the prior evening with Culpo, eating at her Rhode Island restaurant Back 40 and later singing karaoke.

Patriots of past were back on their old Foxboro stomping grounds, this time playing the role of spectators. Among the retired players who were there to represent: ex-linebacker Willie McGinest, former fullback Patrick Pass and Fred Taylor, who was a running back for both the Pats and the Jaguars. And let’s not forget our favorite quarterback before Brady, Drew Bledsoe, who was named honorary captain for the game.

Now, if only they all had brought their pompoms, the Pats would have had one oddball of a cheer squad.
