Helping students succeed drives NETTTS

It was in a small town outside Springfield in 1965 when this family-owned school began training students to drive commercial trucks and tractor trailers. New England Tractor Trailer Training School has since grown to include four locations and helps students across New England and New York.

Since the very beginning, the school’s mission has been to provide students with quality educational programs that may lead to satisfying and fulfilling hands-on careers. Today that mission resonates throughout the trucking and trades industries: from teaching entry-level students with Commercial Driver’s License training, educating current business fleets with Safety and Compliance Industry Training and also a Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration training program for those looking to become trained HVACR technicians.

Reaching the 50-year milestone is something only a fraction of companies will ever achieve, and there’s a lot that goes into this track record of success.

“It takes a solid and sincere commitment to what it is we’re doing, and I believe that everyone at NETTTS — from the CDL and HVAC instructors all the way to the Job Placement and Financial Aid advisers — are truly dedicated to helping our students. That’s what comes first. It’s people before anything,” said Don Harris, director of operations.

To back that statement up, NETTTS has two locations that have recently been recognized by its accrediting commission as Schools of Distinction. This award has recognized that NETTTS of Pawtucket, R.I., and North Andover have demonstrated a commitment to the expectations and rigors of ACCSC accreditation as well as a commitment to delivering quality educational programs.

NETTTS is fully committed to helping students achieve their goals and staying with them until they do.
