With the win, the Minutemen improved to 13-16-2 overall and 7-12-2 in Hockey East.

The defeat marked the third in the last four games for the River Hawks, who dropped to 16-14 and 10-10.

Matt Murray earned his third shutout of the season with 30 saves.

Vermont 2, New Hampshire 2 — Marcus Vela netted a power-play goal with 2:34 to play in the third period as the Wildcats salvaged a tie in Durham, N.H.

Quinnipiac 3, Brown 0 — Joe O’Connor’s first goal of the season was all the visiting Bobcats needed to knock off the Bears in an ECAC Hockey game in Providence,

Brandon Fortunato and Kevin Duane also lit the lamp for Quinnipiac (12-14-4, 7-9-2).

Brown (6-15-4, 5-12-1) only mustered 22 shots, as Bobcats goalie Andrew Shortridge turned each one away for his 10th win of the season.
