Geraldine M. Riordan, at 88, RN, of Brockton

Geraldine M. “Gerry” (Delaney) Riordan of Brockton died Wednesday at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital. She was 88.

She was a 1947 graduate of Brockton High School and was a member of the school’s reunion committee.

Mrs. Riordan also graduated from Carney Hospital School of Nursing in 1950.

She was a registered nurse and worked at Brockton Hospital from 1950 to 1968. She was employed as a visiting nurse and a public health nurse for the town of Randolph and retired as nursing supervisor after 24 years.

Mrs. Riordan was a wellknown Toe Tap Dancer in her earlier days and had been a member of the Harry Swan Revue Troupe, which entertaine­d servicemen during WWII.

She was a former member of St. Richard’s Guild of Catholic Nurses, Irelands Own of Brockton and was a lifelong communican­t and Eucharisti­c Minister of St. Colman Church and a member of the Legion of Mary.

Mrs. Riordan lived at Emmanuel House in Brockton for the past four years.

Wife for 53 years tp the late Thomas M., she is survived by several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews and great-grandniece­s and great-grandnephe­ws.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today at Christ the King Church, Brockton.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
