LOCAL TIES FOR AMY’S SURPRISE!

Vineyard’s Chris Fischer weds Schumer in Malibu

-

Amy Schumer has gone and snagged herself a Martha’s Vineyard man.

The comedian and actress confirmed yesterday that she and chef/farmer Chris Fischer tied the knot in a surprise ceremony Tuesday.

“Two things,” Schumer wrote on Instagram, adding, “No, I’m not pregnant. And no gifts, but thank you for asking.”

The unexpected wedding took place at a rented house in Malibu overlooking the water, where star-studded guests including Jennifer Lawrence, Larry David, Jake Gyllenhaal, David Spade, Chelsea Handler, Jennifer Aniston and Judd Apatow watched the couple recite their own vows and tie the knot.

Attendees had to abide by a strict no-posting-photos policy. That ban was lifted yesterday, as Schumer shared several selections of pictures from the big day on social media. The photos revealed everything from what she wore — an ivory, spaghetti-strap dress embellished with lace appliques — to the famous faces in attendance, which also included her beloved dog, Tati.

Schumer, 36, and Fischer, 37, have had one heck of a whirlwind romance. The comic was first spotted getting cozy with our Bay State boy during a romantic candlelit dinner at Cafe Altro Paradiso in New York City on Nov. 7. They’ve kept their relationship relatively under wraps, scarcely being seen together in public. In fact, Schumer finally confirmed that they were dating just last week — mere days before their matrimony — when she shared a photo of them smooching in a photo booth at Ellen DeGeneres’

60th birthday party.

A former sous chef at Mario Batali’s Babbo in New York, Fischer resides at his family’s Beetlebung Farm on Martha’s Vineyard, where he’s also opened a produce market and runs The Beach Plum Restaurant’s kitchen. In 2015, he also wrote “Beetlebung Farm Cookbook: A Year of Cooking on Martha’s Vineyard,” which earned him a James Beard Award.

Schumer spent time vacationing on the Vineyard last summer while she was in Boston filming the upcoming movie “I Feel Pretty.” But we don’t know if the now-newlyweds hung out during that time.

Reports do say that Fischer’s sister is also Schumer’s personal assistant.
