BRADY BUNCH FEELS FANS’ PAIN

‘Great lesson’ for TB12’s kids in new ‘Tom vs. Time’

-

Feb. 4 was not a good day — not for Patriots Nation, and not for the Brady kids. After their dad, Pats quarterback Tom Brady, saw his team fall to the Philadelphia Eagles, “Benny was crying. Vivi [Vivian] was crying. They were sad for me and sad for the Patriots.” Brady shares the emotional scene in the sixth installment of the web series “Tom vs. Time,” which will be out Monday at noon on Facebook Watch. “Good Morning America” aired a preview yesterday, during which Brady added, “That was the first time I had seen my kids really react in that way.”

“I just said to them, I said look, this is a great lesson,” he said. “We don’t always win. We try our best and sometimes it doesn’t go the way we want.”

No worries if you missed “GMA,” the trailer for “Tom vs. Time” is out now, and it starts with a simple question for No. 12, “How are you feeling?”

“I’m feeling um ... That’s a loaded question,” Brady says as the video cuts to slo-mo clips of the final Hail Mary throw landing in the end zone. As if we could forget.

“You play the game to be in those moments and you play those games to have a chance to win the Super Bowl,” Brady said. “And when you don’t come through, its very painful.”

Director Gotham Chopra was hoping for a Pats win as the perfect finish for the series.

“In the end, the Patriots fan in me didn’t get the storybook ending I desperately craved for our series ‘Tom vs Time,’” Chopra said in a release. “But instead I got a moment in which our main hero — Tom — would learn something pretty valuable in the loss. Hard to lament too much about that.”

We’ll get back to you on that last part.
