LIKE A FINE WINE: Start decanting that bottle of California Cab because a hilariously boozy girls' trip will be coming to Netflix. Burlington-born comedian Amy Poehler will be directing, producing and starring in a flick called “Wine Country.” The comedy will follow a group of gals as they galavant around the wineries of Napa, Calif., in celebration of one of their 50th birthdays. Among the other cast members taking part in the upcoming movie: Poehler's fellow “SNL” alums Tina Fey, Rachel Dratch, Maya Rudolph and Ana Gasteyer. They're reportedly starting production this month, but the release date has yet to be announced. Our only remaining question is, can we come, too?
COLLEGE COMMOTION: Steve Carell has been spotted causing a frenzy at a couple of universities in the Midwest. The part-time Marshfield resident and business owner has been trying to lay low, donning sunglasses and a black cap to cover his face, but he hasn't been fooling any of those smartypants college kids. Twitter was abuzz on Monday when students at University of Wisconsin-Madison were posting selfies with “The Office” star. The same goes for Tuesday, when social media showed a storm of distant photos of Carell on University of Michigan's Ann Arbor campus. Word is, Carell is looking at schools with his daughter, Elisabeth. In one of the UMich pictures, the actor also appears to be with his son, John, and wife, Nancy, on the tour.
