Zadrick, 13, likes sports

-

Zadrick is a healthy, friendly and talkative 13-year-old boy of Hispanic descent. He is a homebody and likes to stay inside rather than going shopping or even taking a vacation.

He is cautious about trying new things and is selective about what he eats.

He loves to watch sports on TV and enjoys playing volleyball and flag football. He also loves to play wrestling video games.

He is resourceful and is good at advocating for himself. Zadrick is in the sixth grade. He has a few friends at school and tends to engage with younger children. Legally free for adoption, Zadrick seems to works best with a structured home and firm parenting style. He would do well in most any family constellation, with or without children, as long as he receives love, attention and encouragement to build his self esteem.

Who can adopt?

Can you provide the guidance, love and stability that a child needs? If you’re at least 18 years old, have a stable source of income and room in your heart, you may be a perfect match to adopt a waiting child. Adoptive parents can be single, married or partnered; experienced or not; renters or homeowners; LGBTQ singles and couples.

The process to adopt a child from foster care requires training, interviews and home visits to determine if adoption is right for you, and if so, to help connect you with the right child or sibling group.

To learn more about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange at 617-964-6273 or go to mareinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have “a permanent place to call home.”
