GIRLS SWIMMING

JULIA ALI DUXBURY

The sophomore captured the South sectional and Division 2 state titles in the 100-yard backstroke. She also took a second in the 500 freestyle and was part of two winning relays in leading the Dragons to the state team title. An honor roll student, Ali trains with Kingfish Swimming based in Kingston.

MARY BUCKLEY DUXBURY

Buckley captured the Div. 2 state title in the 100yard breaststro­ke, breaking the state record with a winning time of 1:01.74. She also won the 200 individual medley as well as being a key component in the winning 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays. A four-time Patriot League All-Star and member of the National Honor Society, Buckley will swim at Yale in the fall.

SABRINA BUNAR LYNNFIELD

The Cape Ann League Diver of the Year, Bunar captured her third Div. 2 state title with a score of 516.25. She set the meet record as a sophomore with a winning score of 539.45. A four-time league All-Star, Bunar is a member of the National Honor Society. She signed a National Letter of Intent to compete at the University of North Carolina in the fall.

MEAGAN HATHAWAY MARBLEHEAD

The senior standout captured the Div. 2 state title in both the 200yard and 500 freestyle races, while helping Marblehead to a fourthplac­e team finish. The Northeaste­rn Conference champion in the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly, Hathaway ended her career with five state titles. She will swim next year at Bucknell University.

JACEY HINTON WESTON

The freshman wasted little time making a name for herself, winning the state title in the 100-yard freestyle and being a part of a championsh­ip 200 free relay. Hinton won four events at the North sectionals, setting a meet record in the 200 free with a winning time of 1:51.04. She is an honor roll student with a long-term goal to swim in college.

ASHLEY LOOMIS FRANKLIN

The long-distance swimmer dominated at the Div. 1 state meet, setting state records in both the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.00) and 500 free (4:50.76). Loomis ended her career with a perfect 60-0 record in dual meets and 23-1 in the postseason with seven state titles. Loomis, who swims for Kingfish club, will compete for Yale University in the fall.

MADISON MILBERT SILVER LAKE

The senior won a pair of events at the Div. 1 state meet, capturing the 100-yard backstroke (56.21) and the 200 individual medley (2:04.99). A four-time Patriot League All-Star, Milbert made the honor roll all four years and is a member of the National Honor Society. She will swim for the U.S, Naval Academy in Annapolis.

LIVY POULIN CONCORD-CARLISLE

The junior ripped off a hat trick of her own in the winter season, capturing the diving event at the Dual County League championsh­ips as well as the North sectional and Div. 1 state crowns. Poulin was also the state champion as a sophomore, winning the event by more than 30 points, and swam on the school recordsett­ing 200 medley relay team. She also dives for Boston Area Diving club.

MAGGIE SUMMIT TRITON

The Cape Ann League Swimmer of the Year, this junior duplicated her performanc­e of a year ago, winning the Div. 1 state titles in both the 50-yard and 100 freestyle races. A week earlier, Summit set a North sectional meet record in the 50 free (23.66). In the offseason, Summit swims for the YMCA of the North Shore.

ANDREA WEI HOPKINTON

After winning the 50-yard freestyle and 100 butterfly events in the South sectional meet, Wei matched that performanc­e in the Div. 2 state meet, setting a meet record in the fly. A five-time Junior National qualifier, this senior was the New England champion in the 100 butterfly and 200 butterfly. An honors student, Wei will attend Brown University.
