Here are the most likeable spots for your marathon ’gram

- — HERALD STAFF

Take a pic or it didn't happen. If you're in the Hub to catch the marathon, chances are you're likely to be catching some postable moments of the runners, your squad and yourself.

Whether you're supporting a specific cause or racers, enjoying the spectacle, or just want to get some great images for Instagram, here are some great locations to get snapping, on and off the course:

1. Pre-marathon: Faneuil Hall Marketplace Spring Fling. Celebrate spring at an outdoor concert at the West End, get a hair cut courtesy of Boston Mobile Cuts Barbershop with proceeds going to charity, watch a daylong schedule of street performers in South Market and enjoy the opening of seven outdoor patios/bars. Concerts begin at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

2. Rose Kennedy Carousel: A perfect spot to grab a photo of your squad ... and share race goals.

3. Training shot: Charles River Esplanade is the backdrop you'll remember ... and gets you acclimated to the scenery you'll see if you make it to the finish line.

4. Hopkinton: The quaint starting line shot is a keeper.

5. Scream Tunnel at Wellesley College: The video potential is huge, as “Kiss me!”

“Love me!”

“Hug me!” ring out. It seems every Wellesley student is proclaiming her affection for the runners here at the halfway point of the race. It's a constant roar from the crowd, and the Scream Tunnel, as it's been aptly named, can feel something like a mosh pit, so be prepared to jockey for a good view.

6. The Family Meeting Area: Located on St. James Avenue and Stuart Street, between Berkeley Street and Clarendon. There will be signs alphabetized by the runner's last names that help parties meet.
