Mary Cirillo of Saugus, at 74, hospital nurse, hockey fan, animal lover

Mary C. (Laskey) Cirillo of Saugus died April 28 at her home. She was 74.

She was born and raised in Somerville.

She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and Malden Hospital School of Nursing.

She lived most of her life in Melrose and lived in Malden for several years before living in Saugus for many years.

Mrs. Cirillo was employed as a registered nurse at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for over 30 years.

She also worked at Whidden Hospital in Everett.

She worked at East Boston Health Care Center for over 10 years until retirement.

Mrs. Cirillo was a huge hockey

fan who enjoyed watching her boys play hockey or a good Bruins game.

She loved Christmas Eve, music, singing and listening to Barry Manilow, the Beach Boys and even Pink Floyd.

She was an animal lover and had numerous pets over the years.

She also loved spending time at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire ever since she was a kid.

Mrs. Cirillo is survived by two daughters, Denise Cadigan of Saugus and Maureen LaMonica of Winthrop; two sons, Chris and Anthony of Malden; two brothers, Ray Laskey and Paul Laskey; two sisters, Ellen Varney and Jane Dargan; three grandchild­ren and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. Arrangemen­ts by Gately Funeral Home, Melrose.
