Dishonest Dems, media ignore Trump’s triumphs

Anyone expecting President Trump supporters to soften up on their allegiance to the president heading into the November midterm elections is sadly mistaken.

This past week, Democrats, the FBI and the liberal elite media gave Team Trump strong reasons to remain solidly behind the Republican commander in chief and his “drain the swamp” cause.

One can also argue that women voters and independents are getting tired of the incessant Trump bashing — especially when the president and his supposedly short-staffed administration (excluding the “traitorous” leakers) are piling up significant victories in domestic and foreign affairs, i.e., tax reform, employment gains, historic trade talks with China, historic denuclearization talks with North Korea, the release of three U.S. citizens held hostage in North Korea ... the list goes on and on.

The media and Democrats, however, have treated these stories just like they were a bunch of “American Bandstand” one-hit wonders of the 1960s.

So what’s been the media focus of the week?

President Trump referred to members of the notoriously violent MS-13 street gang as “animals.” He has used the same MS-13 description many times before, so the press was well aware of it. Still, it didn’t stop beat writers from The New York Times, Washington Post and Associated Press, plus TV network and cable yakkers, from falsely reporting Trump’s remarks.

They lumped in all illegal immigrants as “animals” with MS-13 kidnappers, rapists (especially child rapists) and murderers, and attributed it to the president.

Later, when Trump’s comments — made to California sheriffs frustrated over that state’s restrictive immigration sanctuary policies — were replayed, it was clear the media had twisted the president’s words out of context. Yet the truth didn’t stop top Democrats from piling on.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said, “When the president of the United States says about undocumented immigrants, ‘These aren’t people; these are animals,’ you have to wonder: Does he not believe in the spark of divinity, the dignity and worth of every person?”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer chimed in: “When all of our great-greatgrandparents came to America, they weren’t ‘animals,’ and these people aren’t either.”

Where was the headline “Pelosi, Schumer defend MS13 killers as good for U.S.”?

The biased media coverage of Trump’s administration is so skewed, it’s repulsive. And it’s sad the press doesn’t care to change.

Which leads us to the second major story you haven’t heard much of: On May 16, The New York Times published a story confirming that a small group of FBI officials, for political reasons, secretly spied on the 2016 Trump presidential campaign. The newspaper downplayed the truth under the headline: “Code Name Crossfire Hurricane.” The story revealed a stunning abuse of federal power to protect the status quo.

The article, in paragraph 70 (talk about burying the truth), says this about the FBI’s “broad investigation”: “A year and a half later, no public evidence has surfaced connecting Mr. Trump’s advisers to the hacking or linking Mr. Trump himself to the Russian government’s disruptive efforts.”

So when will special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian collusion with the Trump campaign finally end?

It’s just more grist for Trump supporters and others getting fed up with the dishonest efforts to take down this presidency at any cost.
