Three Cannons on MLL All-Star team
Major League Lacrosse announced yesterday the 30 players who will square off against Team USA in the league’s annual All-Star Game on June 28 at Harvard Stadium.
It’s the first time in four years the MLL All Stars will face Team USA.
The Boston Cannons will be represented by midfielder Sergio Perkovic, defender Brandon Mullins and attack Will Sands, one of six rookies selected.
“We are thrilled to invite 30 of the best players in the world to represent MLL in this year’s All-Star Game,” Commissioner Alexander Brown said in a statement.
Nationally, Joe Walters of the New York Lizards was selected to his ninth career All-Gtar Game, the most among current MLL players. This year, the All-Stars’ attack will be led by Kevin Rice of the Atlanta Blaze, who is currently second in the league in scoring, and Lizards star Will Manny, who has 32 points in seven games this season.
Kyle Harrison and Brian Karalunas of the Ohio Machine will play in their seventh All-Star Game. Both played for Team USA in 2014.
