BACHELOR MATCH MADE IN PARADISE

-

It’s a match made in paradise: Bachelor alums Jared Haibon and Ashley Iaconetti are reportedly engaged, a matter of weeks after the couple went public with their relationship.

“I didn’t even tell my grandma yet … ,” Iaconetti wrote on Twitter yesterday, embellishing the post with a diamond ring emoji.

Haibon, a Providence native, got down on one knee on the beach to pop the question to his bride-to-be on Sunday. The duo, who will both be hosting parties at The Grand in the Seaport District on June 30 and Shrine Foxwoods on June 29, is currently down in Mexico filming for the fifth season of “Bachelor in Paradise.” The spin-off reality show just so happens to be where they met for the first time, three years prior, and where ironically, there weren’t enough sparks to ignite any kind of romance. On Haibon’s part, that is.

During that fateful second season, Iaconetti was instantly attracted to her now-fiance, but her feelings were unrequited as Haibon favored friendship. They kept it platonic, with Iaconetti later moving on to date another Bachelor alum, Kevin Wendt, whom she met on the “Bachelor Winter Games” in Vermont this February. And it wasn’t until that reality TV fling ended that Haibon reportedly spilled his guts — and the entire contents of his heart — in a love letter to her.

It’s fair to say that their rapid romance appears to rival that of pop star Ariana Grande and SNL star Pete Davidson, who also recently became betrothed mere weeks after announcing their relationship.

Haibon and Iaconetti revealed they were an item at the end of May during an emotional episode of her e-series, “The Story of Us.”
