Cat & dog film festivals will thrill animal lovers
Can’t get enough short films about cats and dogs? Then this weekend is made for you. The NY Cat Film Festival and The NY Dog Film Festival hit the Regent Theatre in Arlington Friday through Sunday, spotlighting artfully curated films about cats, dogs and the humans who love them.
The feline portion of the festival focuses on understanding and appreciating how cats share our world, while benefiting cat welfare. Programs are Friday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.: “Nobody Owns a Cat” (7 films, 60 minutes), followed by an intermission, then “Little Works of Art” (6 films, 61 minutes).
Each program is $10, and a portion of every ticket benefits The Cat Connection (thecatconnection.org) and Winn Feline Foundation (winnfelinefoundation.org).
