SUMMER HOT SPOT

From country music fest to family beach fun, Hampton Beach has it all

- By MOIRA McCARTHY

Along, perfect stretch of sandy beach. A vibrant yet intimate oceanside community filled with cool shops and noteworthy places to nosh. Easy access from the highway, but with a get-away-from-it-all ambience. A regular roster of concerts, beach movie nights and more. What more could the Hampton Beach Village District in New Hampshire offer a visitor?

How about the top-notch, headliner-filled, five-day festival Country by the Coast? It's all happening this summer, July 8-12, for what they hope is the first of many times. On those five days and nights, all the great stuff Hampton Beach Village has to offer will still be happening, with the addition of an amazing lineup of country music events. And put away your wallet: Every single event during Country by the Coast, including performances by Nashville star William Michael Morgan, local favorite and international star Ayla Brown, Jillian Cardarelli and others are absolutely free.

That's thanks to the work of the Hampton Beach Village District Association, which has long put on festivals and other fun events. Country by the Coast is its newest addition. For those five days, from noon until well into the evening, the district's Seashell Stage (180 Ocean Blvd.) and with live entertainment, line dancing lessons and more. Besides the headliners, the event features tribute bands to such stars as Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks. The event — as is always the case here — is family friendly each day from start to finish.

And as if Country by the Coast wouldn't be enough to keep you entertained, all the offerings the district has will still be going on.
