Vera Adams, lifelong Weymouth resident, 77

Vera (LeVangie) Adams of Weymouth died July 15. She was 77.

She was a lifelong resident of Weymouth.

She was a 1958 graduate of Weymouth High School.

She worked at New England Telephone for several years and then Sullivan Insurance in Quincy for many years where she met lifelong friends.

Mrs. Adams lived a quiet, modest life but didn’t let that stop her from enjoying people.

She enjoyed reading, having dinner with friends, trips to Cape Cod and lit up seeing her friends, children, grandchild­ren and cousins.

She was a kind, private woman who had a beautiful smile and will be remembered for her generousit­y and kind demeanor.

Wife of the late Donald, she is survived by two cousins, Karen Kneeland of Mashpee and Gina Puntiri of Plymouth; an aunt, Florence Mulready of Weymouth; and two special friends, Judie D’Ambrosia-Rosa of Pennsylvan­ia and Cynthia MacDonald of South Weymouth and their families. Services were private. Donations can be made to the Vera Adams Memorial Fund C/O Equitable Bank ATTN: Lori DiBona, 50 Patriot Parkway, South Weymouth, MA 02190.

Funds will be used in conjunctio­n with Weymouth Public Libraries for a memorial project in Mrs. Adams’ name.
