GONNA FLY NOW ... TO THE VINEYARD
Sylvester Stallone was anything but sly as he summered on Martha’s Vineyard this past weekend.
“I’m not even sure anymore. I’ve been shipwrecked — I think it’s called Martha’s Barnyard,” Stallone said jokingly in a video he shared on Instagram.
“Anyway, I’m surrounded, surrounded by poison plants and I wanted to let you know that I’m gonna get through this and I’m gonna make it to that lighthouse and swim back to America,” he continued, as he panned to the beachy landscape behind him.
Clearly, the iconic action star wasn’t looking to keep up his stranded island charade for the entirety of his vacation. A bunch of locals spotted Stallone standing outside The Paper Store in Edgartown on Saturday morning. We’re told that he was friendly with the crowd of onlookers who gathered around him and that he spent time chatting with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross in front of the Main Street establishment.
Stallone also made his presence known to his many social media followers, posting another video to announce his arrival on the island.
“Don’t ask me how I got here, but I’m not complaining about it. Martha’s Vineyard, in the house. I’m about to go out and catch my own lobster, yo,” he said before accidentally tripping on the deck where he was standing.
The Vineyard has long been a favorite summertime spot for the man behind “Rocky” and “Rambo.” But sadly, it seems like this year’s visit has already to come to an end.
“Sometimes you just have to give your mind a rest,” he captioned a pic of himself napping aboard a plane home and holding a copy of Charles Krauthammer’s book, “Things That Matter: Three Decades of Passions, Pastimes and Politics.”
