Judith M. Kelcourse, 73, Weymouth resident, longtime bank employee

Judith M. (Conti) Kelcourse of Weymouth died Saturday at South Shore Hospital. She was 73.

She was born and raised in Quincy.

She graduated from Quincy High School in 1963 and was a graduate of Quincy Beauty Academy.

She worked for many years at South Shore Cooperativ­e Bank.

Mrs. Kelcourse settled in Weymouth with her husband in 1965 where they raised their family.

She was the gracious hostess of so many family dinners and backyard cookouts.

She was a devoted Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and a fantastic baker and cook who loved spending time with friends and working in her spectacula­r flower gardens.

She enjoyed knitting baby afghan blankets — and always had one ready for anyone welcoming a new baby — and knitted Christmas stockings for all of her grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Kelcourse is survived by her husband Edward J. for 53 years; a daughter, Denise Sullivan of Weymouth; two sons, Daniel and Matthew of Weymouth; two brothers, Joseph Conti and John Conti of Quincy; six grandchild­ren; two great-granddaugh­ters and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth.

Burial will be in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
