Rhode Island’s own Olivia Culpo is breaking her silence about ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas’ engagement to Priyanka Chopra, and it seems like she’s completely cool with the fast-tracked relationship.
“I think that any time anybody can find love, especially in this industry — because it’s difficult. You can see there’s a track record of things not working out,” Culpo said on People Now. “So I’m so happy for him.”
Jonas, 25, popped the question to actress Chopra, 36, in July, after dating for a mere two months. And it appears that Culpo, who’s been making the rounds to promote her new E! reality show “Model Squad,” isn’t letting any old history with the singer hinder her ability to send good vibes the couple’s way.
“I wish that everybody can find love and happiness,” she said. “That does not mean that I would not wish that for him.”
Culpo could be feeling less of a sting from the engagement now that she’s officially back with Patriots-turned-Dolphins wide receiver Danny Amendola. This week, the Miss Universe alum has finally started opening up about their reconciliation, even posting a PDA-packed Instagram story to prove that they’re definitely an item again. The pair parted ways this past March, but the time apart was short-lived, as they’ve been dating on the DL throughout the summer.
As for Culpo’s past with Jonas, they dated for almost two years before calling it quits in 2015. The breakup was reportedly a “tough” one for him, with all those postsplit feels providing fodder for his third solo album, “Last Year Was Complicated.”
