Let’s go 4th with Mashpee

We begin another season of the Friday Pickorama, our attempt to predict the outcomes of some of the top high school football games of the week.

The goal is to try and surpass the 75-percent mark of a year ago. Some have appreciated the picks, others have taken the perceived slights personally, which no one should ever do.

Time to anger the first group of teams we go against.

(Home teams in CAPS.)

Mashpee over NANTUCKET: The march to a fourth straight Super Bowl title begins tomorrow night.

Everett over XAVERIAN:

Think speed could be an issue here.

King Philip over NORTH ATTLEBORO: Not going to start the season betting against Brian Lee and the Boys.

Mansfield over BC HIGH:

Experience plays a major role here.

WHITMAN-HANSON over Marshfield: Big spot for Ethan Phelps to play big.

Natick over NEEDHAM:

Redhawks open the season with a bang.

North Andover over WOBURN: High-powered Scar- let Knights offense sets the tone early.

LINCOLN-SUDBURY over Springfield Central: Veteran Warriors squad gets call here.

Catholic Memorial over ST. JOHN'S (S): Knights open the John DiBiaso era with an impressive road win over defending Div. 3 Super Bowl champion.
