Boston English/New Mission (2-0) played stingy defense and got a gamewinning 10-yard touchdown run from Takari Hobbs in overtime to defeat TechBoston, 18-12, in a Boston City League crossover game last night.

Keith Ridley threw for four scores and ran for a fifth as No. 16 Lynn Classical (2-0) rolled to a 41-8 victory over Malden in the Northeastern Conference crossover game . . . . Bobby Hubert rushed for three touchdowns, including two of 40 or more yards, as Winthrop (1-1) held off Medford, 28-20, to give Jon Cardigan his first victory as head coach.
Dan Landry threw three touchdown passes to propel Newton North (2-0) past Weymouth, 21-19, in a Bay State Conference nail-biter.
Christos Argyropoulus broke off a 70-yard touchdown scamper to open the night and Stoneham (2-0) held off Arlington, 34-21, in a Middlesex League crossover matchup.
Quarterback Andrew Sullivan went 9-of-17 passing for 131 yards and four touchdowns, while Peter Marino rushed for 127 yards and a score as Wilmington (2-0) defeated Bedford, 35-10.
Ryan Murray tossed three touchdowns, two of which went to Stephen Williams, as Medfield (1-1) staved off a wild comeback bid by Norton, 34-30 in the Tri-Valley League.

Payton Doyle ran for four scores and threw for two more as Dennis-Yarmouth (1-1) rolled to a 40-14 win over Auburn . ... Win Tran rushed for 145 yards and returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown as North Quincy (2-0) defeated Westwood, 14-7 . . . . Ethan Ritchie racked up 19 carries for 125 yards and a touchdown and also returned a kickoff 85 yards for a score, leading Hanover (2-0) to a 24-16 victory over East Bridgewater.
Ryan Hoey broke off a 75-yard return on the opening kick, jumpstarting Milton (1-1) to a 49-0 shutout against Quincy.
After a scoreless first half, Attleboro (2-0) shifted momentum with 21 unanswered points, including a 40-yard interception return by Issac Gudiel, to capsize Dartmouth, 21-7.
Cole McIntyre connected with Tyler Noe for a pair of touchdowns as Old Rochester (2-0) rolled to a 39-0 shutout of Apponequet in South Coast Conference action . . . . Quarterback James Cahoon finished a perfect 8-for-8 passing, topping the 200-yard mark, to lead Bourne (2-0) to a 48-20 victory against Wareham.
Chris Disciscio kicked a 30-yard field goal with 39 seconds left to give Shawsheen (1-1) a 16-14 nonleague victory over Arlington Catholic . . . . Connor Joseph was a workhorse for Northeast (1-1), rushing the ball 26 times for 136 yards and two touchdowns in a 26-18 victory over Saugus.
Kevin Fehrm hauled in an 11-yard touchdown reception from Steven Dwyer and Carver/Sacred Heart (11) never looked back, taking down Blue Hills, 24-14. . . . Aiden Centeno scored the game-winning 10-yard touchdown in overtime as Holbrook/Avon (1-0) edged Atlantis Charter, 6-0. Alijaah Paul led the defense with 10 tackles.
Danny Silva scored the lone touchdown of the game and the Case (2-0) defense held Diman to just 34 yards of total offense in a 7-0 win.
Due to the fires in the North Andover area, the North Andover-Lowell football game, which was originally scheduled for last night in North Andover, was postponed and will be played this afternoon at Cawley Stadium (1 p.m.). Those planning to attend the game are asked to bring diapers, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, deodorant, snacks for kids and juice boxes to help the families affected by the horrific events.
