Liberals forget innocent until proven guilty

Ignore lack of evidence

It’s downright frightening that liberal lawmakers, including U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Democratic congressional candidate Ayanna Pressley, are defending female accusers of sexual assault without vetting the allegations. Instead, they deny men like Judge Brett Kavanaugh the presumption of innocence and mercilessly convict him in the court of public opinion before the facts are in.

If that’s the new normal, voters must realize this: Your husband’s not safe, your brother, son, uncle or any man you know. They can all be falsely accused of sexual misconduct — and have their lives destroyed — thanks to feminists and liberal lawmakers who care more about their party’s political agenda and ideology than any semblance of due process.

Christine Blasey Ford has belatedly levied unsubstantiated claims of sexual assault against Kavanaugh amid his Supreme Court confirmation process. Scores of Democratic senators, commentators and unhinged protesters have rushed to defend Ford even though what she claims happened more than three decades ago is devoid of corroborating evidence.

Now a new woman has come forward accusing Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct at Yale. Debbie Ramirez, now 53, told the New Yorker she was playing drinking games with Kavanaugh and others and that he exposed himself without her consent. Kavanaugh categorically denies it. The New Yorker says it has “not confirmed with other eyewitnesses that Kavanaugh was present at the party.” Ramirez admits she was drunk and her memory of the event is not good. Translation: not reliable. She has “significant gaps in her memories of the evening.” Repeat: Significant gaps.

Ford can’t also can’t remember key details like when and where. She claims the alleged groping incident was at a teenage drinking party 36 years ago and named four witnesses. They have all since come forward saying they don’t know what she’s talking about.

Ford’s uncorroborated claims are collapsing, yet that hasn’t stopped Bay State pols and their liberal compatriots from attacking Kavanaugh’s character, putting his family in harm’s way — they’ve received death threats — while obstructing the president’s constitutional duty to appoint justices to the Supreme Court.

Demonstrating that ruthless Democrats consumed with hate toward the current administration will stop at nothing to advance their political agenda, regardless if allegations made against Kavanaugh are true or not true.

Due process be damned.
