STARRY NIGHTS: Like bees to honey — or, if you're hip to the current meme culture, like moths to a lamp — celebs have been swarming to
Strega's various outposts over the past couple of evenings. We're told that Mike Love of
The Beach Boys was spotted eating at STRIP by Strega, after having watched his nephew, Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers, take on the Celtics. Kevin himself made an appearance at the swanky Italian steakhouse, just later in the night than his uncle. Meanwhile, movie director Peter Berg — who's best known for his work on flicks like “Hancock,” “Friday Night Lights” and “Mile 22” — and the Cavs' head coach, Tyronn Lue, were seen separately having dinner across town at Strega Waterfront. And, not one to miss out on any of the starstudded action, Strega North End also recently welcomed a high profile patron, namely former Dallas Cowboy quarterback
Troy Aikman.
EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT: Professional dancers Anna Trebunskaya and Tony Dovolani, whose expert moves you've likely seen on “Dancing with the Stars,” sashayed their way over to Massachusetts Eye and Ear for a special visit with patients and their families yesterday. The dancing duo was in town for the hospital's ninth annual
Sense-ation! Gala, which took place last night and had them tearing up the floor during a “Ballroom with a Twist” performance. The event took place at the Westin Boston Waterfront, where VIP guests gathered, including: Joey McIntyre of
New Kids on the Block; Billy Costa, co-host of both KISS 108's “Matty in the Morning” and NESN's “Dining Playbook;”
Wyc Grousbeck, chairman of Mass. Eye and Ear and coowner/CEO of the Celtics; and Mass. Eye and Ear President
John Fernandez.
