Leishman earns 4th career title

Marc Leishman shot a 7-under-par 65 in the final round to win the CIMB Classic by 5 strokes and equal the tourney course record in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Australian was in fine form as he strolled to his fourth PGA Tour title and matched Justin Thomas’ tournament record of 26-under 262 in 2015 on the PGA Kuala Lumpur West course.

First-round leader Bronson Burgoon shot a 68 to finish tied for second, along with Emiliano Grillo and Chesson Hadley. Thomas finished tied for fifth after ending the final day with an 8-under 64, along with Gary Woodland (71) and Louis Oosthuizen (69) . . . .

Local favorite In Gee Chun fired a 6-under 66 to win the KEB Hana Bank Championsh­ip in Incheon, South Korea. Starting the final round 2 strokes off the pace, Chun carded seven birdies against a lone bogey at the Sky 72 Ocean Course to finish at 16-under 272, 3 strokes ahead of Charley Hull who shot a 71.

No. 1-ranked Sung Hyun Park offset a pair of bogeys with five birdies for a 69 that left her tied for third with No.2-ranked Ariya Jutanugarn (71), Minjee Lee (70) and overnight co-leader Danielle Kang (72) . . . .

Bernhard Langer ran away with the SAS Championsh­ip in Cary, N.C., to take the points lead into the PGA Tour Champions’ Charles Schwab Cup playoffs.

Langer shot a bogey-free 7-under 65 for a 22-under 194 total and a 6-stroke victory in the regular-season finale. Scott Parel was second, closing with a double bogey for a 65. Jerry Kelly had a 68 to finish third at 15-under, and Tom Lehman followed at 13-under . . . .

Eddie Pepperell won his second European Tour title with a 2-shot victory at the British Masters in Walton Heath, England. The Englishman shot an even-par 72 to finish on 9-under 279 and held off Sweden’s Alexander Bjork (71).
