‘BERN’ IDENTITY’S NOT RIGHT
No shock Liz out of touch with Mass.
I’ve been all over Massachusetts, but never once have I visited the town — or maybe it’s the city — of “Bern.”
Maybe I just don’t get around enough. Have you ever been to “Bern,” Massachusetts? Or perhaps it’s spelled “Burn?”
The fake Indian has been there, though. Or at least she mentioned “Bern” at her debate against state Rep. Geoff Diehl in Brighton Friday night.
Do you suppose “Bern” is anywhere near Bourne? But surely everyone who’s lived in the state for more than a couple of days knows Bourne — there’s a, you know, bridge, there. And a rotary. And a pretty well-known college — Mass. Maritime Academy.
Just how out of touch do you have to be to confuse Bourne with the imaginary burg of … Bern?
It came up when she accused Diehl of taking part in some sort of racist rally — this is great stuff, coming from someone who herself takes part in rallies with Linda Sarsour, a rabid anti-Semite who supports sharia law, which will be a real boon to, among others, women and gays.
At the rally, which took place after the murder of one of the cops the fake Indian is always referring to as part of the “racist” justice system, Diehl was holding signs that said, “Back the Blue” and “Support Our Police.”
Very controversial stuff, in other words.
This was the fake Indian’s description of the gathering by the pro-law enforcement citizens:
“It was a rally in Bern, ordered uh uh uh by uh Act for America, a group that the Southern Poverty Law Center ...”
Say no more. Would that be the same Southern Poverty Law Center that last June paid a $3.375 million settlement to a Muslim group it accused of being … anti-Muslim?
Yeah, I thought so. Hey, fake Indian, give our best to your BFF Linda Sarsour the next time you’re discussing hate groups with her in D.C.
But let’s get back to Bern. How can you be a United States senator from Massachusetts for six years and not know the name of Bourne? Of course, when she was running six years ago, she referred to the “west coast” of Massachusetts.
As a boy, I used to swim in the Deerfield River, which runs into the Connecticut. As I recall, though, it was all fresh water — no surfin’, no clam beds, no tides. But hey, what do I know?
Massachusetts Democrats have a history of problems with geography — most Democrats do, come to think of it. Obama has spoken about the “57 states.” On Monday, Joe Biden mentioned how happy he was to be in Miami — while he was in Tampa.
Around here, Robert B. Reich, when he was running for governor, had no idea what the westernmost county in the state is. (Berkshire.) Max Kennedy, when he was running for Congress, talked about “cities like Cambridge and Stoughton and Needham and Brockton and Braintree.”
Except that three of those places are towns, not cities, and by the way, I’d love to hear the fake Indian pronounce “Stoughton.”
The man who recently accused U.S. Sen. Cory Booker of molesting him in a men’s room said the incident gave him “vertigo.” I felt the same way listening to the fake Indian during the first two televised debates.
She claimed she never said she wanted to abolish ICE, only reform it. Except that earlier this year she said she wanted to “replace” ICE — which sounds a lot closer to abolishing than reforming. Diehl pointed out that she’d
called police “racist” and she shot back, “I didn’t call anyone a name like that.”
Here’s what she said. You be the judge.
“Let’s just start with the hard truth about our criminal justice system. It’s racist. … (Applause from the nuts in the audience.) “And when I say our system, I mean all the way, front to back.”
And now the fake Indian thinks there’s a town in Massachusetts called “Bern.”
What’s her favorite Elvis song — “Burnin’ Love.” Bruce Springsteen? “Burn in the USA.” Steppenwolf — “Burn to be Wild.” Favorite movie — “The Burn Identity.” I wonder, does she have any stops scheduled in, say, Leicester or Worcester? Peabody? Quin-zee?
Be thankful for one thing though: So far, the fake Indian hasn’t said anything about the little Worcester County town of Athol.
