SEEING STARS IN HUB HOT SPOTS

UFC, MLB, NHL, WWE repped

-

There’s nothing like a number of celebrity sightings to get you over the midweek hump. We’ve got you covered with a thorough debrief on celebrities buzzing around Boston over the past few days. Ready when you are: NO IRISH GOODBYE: UFC fighter Conor McGregor has continued his stay in our city, sitting ringside as Demetrius Andrade dominated Walter Kautondokwa at TD Garden this weekend. While at the boxing match, McGregor was spotted schmoozing with local restaurateur Nick Varano, whose eatery Strega Waterfront welcomed The Notorious’ trainer and martial arts coach, John Kavanagh, the night prior. And if we’re talking food, we’d also like to add that McGregor popped by The Paramount with his pregnant partner,

Dee Devlin, their first child, Conor Jr., and a team of security guards this week. Word is, the squad ordered omelets — one with chorizo, one with Greek fixings — pancakes, huevos rancheros and caramel French toast.

WELL DONE: There was a lot of beef leading up to last night’s Game One of the

World Series — and we mean that quite literally. We’re told that baseball players from both the Red Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers were spotted having steak dinners at Boston Chops Downtown Crossing on Monday. Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi and a guest were seen coming in for an early evening bite, leaving the spot by 8 p.m. Meanwhile, on the other side of the restaurant, LA pitcher Alex Wood was sitting down for a meal con carne. Hot take: Red-meatathons are the new carboloading.

CODE BLUE: A share of WWE stars descended upon the Hub, thanks to the WWE

Live Supershow that recently took place at TD Garden. We’re told that Seth Rollins made a special appearance in Somerville, stopping by the Xfinity Store in Assembly Square. The pro wrestler apparently pre-gamed the downtown showdown by spending an afternoon delighting hundreds of fans and shoppers, taking selfies and signings autographs at the store. We also hear that a pack of Rollins’ colleagues — specifically, “The Queen” Charlotte Flair, Dolph Ziggler, Braun Strowman and Rusev

and Lana — were seen devouring platters of sushi at Kowloon Restaurant after the ring-filled fanfare. STARRY NIGHT: Journey Forward just celebrated its 10th anniversary with a gala at

Moseley’s on the Charles, and Tinseltown turned up in support of the Canton facility. Dan Cummings, founder of the local nonprofit, celebrated with a slew of celebs at Moseley’s on the Charles — and there was some serious representation from

Showtime’s upcoming series “City on a Hill.” Guests linked to the Boston-based show included creator and executive producer Chuck McLean, as well as actors

Amanda Clayton, Jimmy Cummings, Bob Wahlberg and Jere Shea. Other noteworthy folks who were on hand for the bash: WCVB Channel 5 anchor Maria Stephanos, who served as the evening’s host; Rob “Hardy” Poole from 98.5 The Sports Hub, who acted as the event’s live auctioneer; former hockey players Cleon Daskalakis and Ray Bourque; car mogul Ernie Boch Jr. and

PR gal Peggy Rose . We also hear that a handful of VIP supporters couldn’t make the bash, so they sent their regards to the crowd via video. Virtual greetings came from Boston-born actor Jon

athan Tucker, who was stuck in Germany filming the new “Charlie’s Angels” movie, Cambridge’s own Ben Affleck and former “Brady Bunch” star Christopher Knight, who ended his taped message with a cheer-inducing “Go Sox!”
