A Salvadoran woman who works as a legal advocate is accused of trying to bribe a statie who arrested her for drunken driving — after she accused him of being racist and told him he should be in Dorchester “where the real criminals are,” according to trooper Marc Roy’s report.

Ibeth Peralta, 35, of Everett, who works with domestic assault victims, was released on personal recognizance Thursday after pleading not guilty in Boston Municipal Court to operating under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and bribing a trooper.

Roy claims Peralta, whose 0.192 blood-alcohol level was allegedly 2 ½ times the legal limit, “stated that she had plenty of money and would pay me whatever I wanted if I would not arrest her.”

Peralta declined comment yesterday. Her attorney, Steven J. Topazio, said she has no prior criminal record.

Peralta, a United States citizen, was stopped last Wednesday at 11:35 p.m. at the state-owned Blackstone Garage on Sudbury Street after employees called 911 to report their surveillance cameras had recorded a red 2017 Honda CR-V crashing into one yellow post and knocking down a second.

Roy said Peralta explained she’d been celebrating her wedding anniversary with her husband and “only had two drinks.”

But Roy noted her eyes were bloodshot, her speech slurred and her balance unsteady.

“She stated that I was only arresting her because she isn’t the same color as me,” Roy reported. “She stated that this country (USA) is run by white men who abuse their power . ... She then stated that I should be in Dorchester where the real criminals are and that I should not be wasting my time with her. She said that I should be in Dorchester catching drug dealers.

“She stated that all white cops arrest people because of the color of their skin and for no other reason,” the report states. “She continued on and on about how white cops abuse their power and that I specifically target people of color. She, at one point, stated that she had plenty of money and would pay me whatever I wanted if I would not arrest her.”

Peralta agreed to submit to a Breathalyzer test, he said.
