STORY TIME WITH CENA: West Newbury native John Cena is planning on making a PG stop in town tomorrow, when he’ll be posting up at the Boston

Children’s Museum. The WWE star and actor will be at the Fort Point facility to hang with the younger crowd and promote “Elbow Grease,” a children’s book he authored that’s climbed to the tippity-top slot of the New York

Times’ best-seller list. The story was inspired by Cena’s childhood, which had him growing up with four competitive brothers, and follows a miniscule monster truck that enters a demolition derby to show that, despite its small stature, has the grit of a champion. Cena will be sit down to read the book to a sold-out crowd tomorrow evening and will stick around for photos with fans from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Pictures with the star will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis, and interested parties will have to purchase “Elbow Grease” onsite. TO THE VICTORS GOES THE GRUB: Leave it to local politics to make the World Series a little more interesting.

Matt O’Malley, Boston city councilor for District 6, and Nury Martinez, Los Angeles councilor for District 6, made a wager with one another for all to see on Twitter this week, each favoring their city’s baseball team to take home the title. The deal they made: If the Dodgers win (boo, hiss), O’Malley said he’d send a spread from Legal Sea Foods and beer from

Turtle Swamp Brewery to LA for Martinez’s enjoyment, in addition to making a $100 donation to her charity of choice. In response, the councilwoman agreed to his terms and stated if the Red Sox were to win (knock on wood), she would ship Mission Foods tortillas, meat from Los Tres Hermanos and beer from MacLeod Ale Brewing Co. up to Boston, as well as contribute the same sum of money to his favorite cause. Brews and bites aside, we think that the winner of the wager will really only be savoring that sweet taste of victory.
