Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy reunited his top line of Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak for practice yesterday, but he always has the option of splitting it up as he did in Tuesday’s 3-2 victory at Carolina.

BRUINS NOTEBOOK

In fact, Cassidy had a long chat with Bergeron at the end of practice, with the coach picking Bergeron’s brain about who he might think is a good fit on that right wing should Pastrnak be moved to David Krejci’s line. Cassidy, however, wasn’t giving up the answer. “He likes 88 and 63,” said Cassidy as he was walking out of the interview room.

Goalie question

Cassidy was not ready to divulge who his goaltender would be tomorrow against the Predators in Nashville. Jaroslav Halak, whom Cassidy himself pointed out has been better than Tuukka Rask so far this year, has started four of the last six games . ... Charlie McAvoy, suffering from suspected concussionlike symptoms, made a brief appearance on the bench at the end of practice, but remained off the ice.

New O’Ree rink

The Bruins unveiled the new Willie O’Ree street hockey rink on Western Avenue in Allston. The Boston Bruins’ Foundation also pledged $250,000 to the city of Boston to refurbish street hockey rinks in the city. The Bruins also will be partnering with the city to establish the Willie O’Ree Street Hockey League to fill the spiffed-up rinks.
