U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren and her GOP challenger Geoff Diehl spent the final weekend of the election cycle crisscrossing the state and meeting and greeting voters in a get-out-the-vote effort.

Warren and Diehl both took shots at each other familiar to voters who have been watching the race.

“My opponent wants to go to Washington to be the one vote that is needed to take away health care from tens of millions of people across this country — to cost the commonwealth of Massachusetts $2 billion a year,” Warren said, staying on the Democratic message of focusing on the Obamacare fight.

“People see Senator Warren’s divisiveness,” Diehl said, taking direct aim at the senator.

“The economy right now is doing well, whereas my opponent is talking about raising taxes,” Diehl said.

Warren, addressing fired-up crowd at the Worcester Democratic Headquarters, said, “It’s about who should government work for — government should work for you.” She rallied her troops alongside Attorney General Maura Healey, gubernatorial hopeful Jay Gonzalez, U.S. Rep. Jim McGovern and local Democratic officials.

Warren also used the tax cuts as a talking point — coming in from the opposite direction as Diehl.

“The Republicans have given away a trillion and a half dollars to billionaires and to giant corporations, and expect people who are living on social security to make up the difference,” she said.

Both candidates said they plan get-out-the-vote efforts for Election Day — helping voters get to the polls and talking to as many as possible.

“We’re hitting pretty much every corner of the state,” Diehl said. “I’m stopping in restaurants, having rallies, having get-togethers — all of it.”

Diehl, a state representative from Whitman, spoke on the phone on his way to a Taunton event.

Warren today will travel around the state’s northern reaches, rallying first in Lynn and then Lowell before finishing the day appearing with Lori Trahan, the Democrat running for the 3rd Congressional District.
