He and his team have prepared a special Thanksgiving takeout menu that includes Southern Proper favorites such as chicken and pimento mac and cheese as well as Thanksgiving necessities, such as turkey and mashed potatoes. For another option to make your Thanksgiving meal prep a whole lot easier, head to SRV in the South End starting at noon on Nov. 21 for its Pasta & Pie Pop-Up. Executive pastry chef Meghan Thompson is offering an Apple & Mascarpone Pie (apple, mascarpone, marsala, currants and oat crumble) for $27. And there will be two types of pasta available: strozzapreti and tagliatelle, both $8 per pound. They will even give you some sauce recommendations and cooking instructions. The pies and pasta can be pre-ordered until 5 p.m. on Nov. 16. There will also be a limited number of pies and pasta for sale to walk-ins on Nov. 21.
