BACK TO HIS ROOTS: Late night host Conan O’Brien came home. As part of his current countrywide tour, Conan & Friends: An Evening of Stand-Up and
Investment Tips, the Brookline native and a troupe of fellow comedians performed not one, but two shows at The Wilbur on Tuesday night. Among the members of Team Coco who joined the witty redhead onstage: Rory Scovel (“I Feel Pretty”), Marina Franklin (HBO’s
“Crashing”), James Veitch (“Conan”) and Flula Borg (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”).
LIGHTS OUT: Night has fallen on
“Eve,” as filming officially wrapped this week. The action thriller has been shooting around town since September, attracting a steady stream of celebs throughout the fall, including Jessica Chastain, Colin Farrell, Common, John Malkovich, Jess
Weixler, Geena Davis and Joan Chen. Chastain, whose titular role had her playing a black ops assassin, marked the end of production by teasing another project she apparently has on the horizon with director Tate Taylor. “Yay, our second movie finished — more to come,” she said in a video alongside Taylor. Besides collaborating on “Eve,” the duo also worked together on “The Help.” THE 54 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS: Maria
Menounos is one of those people. The Medford-raised star just revealed to the world that she’s already prepared for the most wonderful time of the year, having her tree set up and decorated since the day after Halloween. But there’s more: Menounos — who married fellow Massachusetts native Keven Undergaro during two ceremonies over the past year — might not make it to the holidays with any decor intact. The couple’s German Shepherd, Maximus ,“has eaten 30 percent of our ornaments already.” Not to push Grinch-related conspiracy theories, but this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a dog named Max help destroy Christmas paraphernalia for fun.
