Henry Sheridan of Weymouth, served with BFD for 43 years

Henry J. “Hank” Sheridan of Weymouth died Sunday.

He was born in Boston.

He was raised in Mattapan and attended North Quincy High School.

He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Sheridan worked for the Boston Fire Department, Local 718 for 43 years until retirement.

He was a member of the Weymouth Elks and The Halligan Club.

He enjoyed reading, sports, history and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Eleanor Mary (Doherty); a daughter, Laurie Mayo of Weymouth; a son, Paul of Hingham; a sister, Kathy Theriault of Marshfield; a granddaugh­ter; a grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Jerome Church, Weymouth.
