Gisele’s a hit back in Brazil

-

Gisele Bundchen is back in her native Brazil, and people in the South American nation are absolutely losing it. The supermodel, who resides in Brookline with quarterback hubby Tom Brady and their two kids, shared that she’s down in the city of Sao Paulo to promote her memoir, “Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life.” She announced her arrival in the bustling metropolis and that she was heading to a book signing via Instagram — in Portuguese, of course — later sharing snippets of the total hoopla that encompassed the store. A mob of eager fans were crammed in line waiting to meet Bundchen, all repeatedly chanting, “Gisele, I love you!” in unison. The crowd waved copies of her book in the air and showed off paraphernalia they brought for her, including what appeared to be a handmade figurine of the model. In contrast, Bundchen herself was calm, cool and collected as she greeted her admirers at a table laden with vases of cream roses. Dressed in a white dress with shimmering sheer sleeves, she welcomed folks individually, taking time to talk to them one-on-one, snap photos with them and sign copies of her work for them. Each guest appeared to be overwhelmed with emotion as they spoke with the star, with one woman sobbing so hard you could barely make out her words. The highly anticipated “Lessons” hit shelves early last month, and the author has been making the rounds since its publication. In the best-selling book, she’s revealed a slew of intimate details about her life outside of the spotlight, including her past struggles with panic attacks and suicidal thoughts, her regret over getting a boob job and her nuptials to Brady.
