Cirelli, Lightning top Flyers

Anthony Cirelli scored 1:47 into overtime, and the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Flyers, 6-5, yesterday in Philadelph­ia after blowing a big lead in the third period. Cirelli outmuscled Wayne Simmonds and beat Calvin Pickard with a top-shelf wrist shot. It was his fourth goal of the season. Tampa Bay opened a 5-1 lead 9:08 into the third on Brayden Point’s fifth goal in two games. But Philadelph­ia rallied behind two goals by Travis Konecny and Simmonds to tie it with 3:32 left in regulation. Simmonds beat goalie Louis Domingue while lying on his back. The Lightning won for the sixth time in eight games. Adam Erne had a goal and two assists in his first career three-point game, and Point scored twice after he had a natural hat trick in Thursday’s 4-3 victory at Pittsburgh. James van Riemsdyk had a goal and two assists for Philadelph­ia, which has dropped three in a row. Red Wings 3, Devils 2 — Dylan Larkin scored 4:09 into overtime, Jonathan Bernier stopped 38 shots and the Detroit beat New Jersey in Newark, N.J. Larkin got his eighth goal of the season when he converted a 2-on-1 break with Anthony Mantha. It was Detroit’s fifth victory in its past six games. Sabres 3, Wild 2 — In St. Paul, Minn., Jason Pominville scored with 1:30 remaining, helping Buffalo beat Minnesota to extend its winning streak to five games. Rookie defenseman Rasmus Dahlin got his second career goal and had an assist for Buffalo, which rallied from a two-goal deficit to post its longest winning streak since 2012. Jake McCabe also scored and Linus Ullmark made 37 saves. Rangers 4, Panthers 2 — Vladislav Namestniko­v scored in the second period, Henrik Lundqvist made 39 saves and New York beat Florida for its fifth consecutiv­e home win. Chris Kreider had a goal and two assists for New York, which has won 3-of-4 overall. Brendan Smith and Filip Chytil also scored. Blue Jackets 4, Hurricanes 1 — In Raleigh, N.C., Cam Atkinson had three goals and an assist, and Columbus beat Carolina for its fifth victory in six games. Atkinson stretched his goal-scoring streak to four games and Artemi Panarin contribute­d three assists as the Blue Jackets broke a six-game skid against Metropolit­an Division rival Carolina. Canadiens 3, Canucks 2 — Jonathan Drouin scored a power-play goal with less than three minutes remaining to lead Montreal to a win in Vancouver. Drouin scored just seconds after Vancouver defenseman Michael Del Zotto was whistled for interferen­ce. Predators 5, Kings 3 — Calle Jarnkrok scored three times for his first career hat trick, powering host Nashville to a win against Los Angeles. Kyle Turris and Nick Bonino also scored for Nashville, which snapped a three-game losing streak. Senators 6, Penguins 4 — Mark Stone and Matt Duchene each scored twice, leading host Ottawa past Pittsburgh. Brady Tkachuk and Cody Ceci also scored, and Craig Anderson made 31 saves. The Senators have won two straight to improve to 9-8-3. Sidney Crosby (upper body) missed his second straight.
