WOBURN — For the third time in four seasons, Nashoba is headed to Gillette Stadium. Sam Bolinsky threw four touchdown passes yesterday as Nashoba overcame a 139yard rushing performance from Dylan Lark to defeat Gloucester, 32-14, in the Division 4 state semifinals at Woburn High School The win advances Nashoba (10-1) to the Super Bowl for the second consecutive season. The Chieftains will take on Dighton-Rehoboth in Foxboro. “It did not turn out our way last year, so we definitely wanted to make it back this year,” Bolinsky said. “All the credit to our coaching staff. Different players come through every year and we always rebound.” After Lark’s second touchdown gave Gloucester (9-2) a 14-8 lead midway through the second quarter, Nashoba scored 24 unanswered points to run away with the win. The Chieftains held Gloucester to just 63 yards of offense in the second half. On Nashoba’s final drive of the first half, Bolinsky hit Danny McNulty in the flat for a 14-yard score to give the Chieftains a 15-14 lead heading into the locker room. The Chieftains then came out strong to begin the third quarter. After a 26yard run by Alex Childs (13 carries, 116 yards, TD), Bolinsky connected with Will Danby for a 33-yard touchdown to give Nashoba a 22-14 lead. Nashoba’s defense forced a turnover on downs at midfield, allowing the offense to go back to work. Childs rushed five times for a combined 38 yards before Bolinsky found him for a 3-yard touchdown that put the Chieftains up 29-14. The Fishermen scored on their opening series, using their well-respected rushing attack to march down the field. After three straight handoffs to begin the drive, Lark ran straight up the middle from 44 yards out to give Gloucester an 8-0 lead. Nashoba responded on its next series, going on a 14-play, 81-yard drive capped off by a 3-yard touchdown pass from Bolinsky to Matt Johnson to even the score, 8-8.
