Prep, Natick among winners

The final sojourn before the Super Bowl.

Thanksgivi­ng Day games have become tougher to predict in recent years, as some teams who will be playing beyond tomorrow tend to rest key starters or other players who are banged up a bit.

We’ll try to avoid those games and pick the outcomes of a healthy list of games actually being contested.

It will be chilly in the stands, but enjoy the holiday, and enjoy the games. (HOME TEAM IN CAPS). St. John’s Prep over Xaverian (Fenway): Eagles walk out of friendly Fenway with the Catholic Conference title. Natick over Framingham

(Fenway): Redhawks end the season on a high note. EAST BOSTON over South Boston: Jets soar in the 100th meeting between the city schools. WHITMAN-HANSON over Abington: Panthers will scratch and claw their way to victory.

vard): The turkey hasn’t tasted good on the English side often in recent years, but it will happen on this Thanksgivi­ng. BROCKTON over Bridgewate­r-Raynham: Edge goes to a Boxers team which played better down the stretch. METHUEN over Dracut: Home cooking could be the difference here. BARNSTABLE over Falmouth: One might see some points scored here as
