Carolyn M. Scott, 93, of Medford, Tufts Bookstore clerk, hospital volunteer

Carolyn M. (Downing) Scott of Medford died Wednesday at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 93.

She worked as a clerk for the Tufts Bookstore for 20 years.

She was a volunteer for the Lawrence Memorial Hospital for 15 years.

Mrs. Scott was a former member of the West Medford Congregational Church.

Wife of the late Robert L., she is survived by two sons, Donald P. of Hemingway, S.C., and Douglas A. of Columbus, Neb.; a daughter, Nancy S. Batten of Waldorf, Md.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. Arrangements by Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, Medford.
