Cops seek two in Dot home invasion
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects in a Dorchester home invasion Friday morning where a woman was tied up and blindfolded and threatened with a knife and a gun.
“At about 10:33 AM on Friday, August 2, 2019, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a home invasion in the area of Rand Street and Julian Street in Dorchester,” a police statement said.
“On arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated two unknown males had broken into her apartment through a rear window. The victim stated the males threatened the victim with a firearm and knife before tying her up and blindfolding her. The victim stated the males proceeded to take various items of value before fleeing the residence, leaving her home in a state of disarray. The males fled the area on distinctive bicycles.”
Police said surveillance video captured images of the suspects making their getaway on bicycles in the area of Dacia Street and Brookford Street.
“The male on the bicycle with red pegs and brakes travels on Brookford Street, down Woodbine Street before disappearing in the area of Warren Street,” police said. “The second male on the bicycle with blue handle bars travels on Brookford Street to Blue Hill Avenue before disappearing in the area of Lawrence Avenue. The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.”
