Jared & Ashley say ‘I do’ in Newport
It was finally “I do” for Rhode Island’s Jared Haibon and fellow “Bachelor” alum Ashley Iaconetti. The reality star couple just celebrated their nuptials in New England with an epic, three-day extravaganza.
Haibon, who grew up in Warwick, R.I., and Iaconetti tied the knot in Newport, surrounded by their loved ones on Sunday. But the ceremony itself was only the finish line to their recent marathon of matrimonial festivities, which were all orchestrated by esteemed planner Troy Williams of Simply Troy.
The bride and groom kicked off the weekend with a welcome cruise on the Schooner Aurora, setting sail with an intimate crew of guests like Iaconetti’s sister, Lauren , as well as fellow “Bachelor” franchise vet Nick Viall. And to mark the eve of their walk down the aisle, Haibon and Iaconetti joined their family and bridal party members for a rehearsal dinner at the OceanCliff Hotel on Saturday night. Among the familiar faces from Bachelor Nation spotted at the swanky seaside resort to toast the happy couple before their wedding: the aforementioned Viall; Ben Higgins and his girlfriend, Jessica Clarke; Dean Unglert; Becca Tilley and Chris Strandburg.
As fans of the franchise know, a windy road has led the new Mr. and Mrs. to the altar. The pair first met in 2015 when they were both contestants on “Bachelor in Paradise.” However, it wasn’t an instant romance, and they started off as just friends … mixed with the occasional, heavy flirtation. They surprised the masses in May 2018, when they announced they were an item during an episode of Iaconetti’s online series “The Story of
Us.” A mere month later, Haibon proposed to her on the beach in Mexico while they were filming last season of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
