PRIME SUMMERS TIME

TV host, Taniya Nayak dine in North End

- by Olivia Vanni

Ah, you really can’t beat Summers in the city. Specifically, we’re talking about TV host and producer Marc Summers, who was busy bouncing around the Hub this weekend.

Summers — who’s known for hosting one of our personal childhood favorites, Nickelodeon ’s slimedrenched game show “Double Dare” — apparently satisfied his seafood fix while visiting a friend in town. He and local interior designer Taniya Nayak met up for a meal at Neptune Oyster.

He and Nayak, who appears on Summer’s Food Network production baby “Restaurant: Impossible” alongside celebrity chef Robert Irvine, hit up the North End eatery for their “annual Boston get together.” Summers followed up their visit to the Salem Street spot by boldly labeling it the “best seafood in Boston” on social media.

In addition to connecting with Nayak, Summers also showed that he swung by his “happy place,” aka Fenway Park. The star shared a video from the stands, where he watched the Red Sox lose to the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday.

And before heading here, Summers made a spooky stop in our northern New England neighbor. It looks like he checked out Stephen King’s distinctive mansion in Bangor, Maine, snapping a photo of the spider web- and bat-adorned gates in front of the horror writer’s abode.

Summers, who’s also known for hosting the Food Network show “Unwrapped,” is no stranger to our neck of the woods. In his younger years, he actually attended Grahm Junior College.
