MARIA’S SPECIAL TREAT-MENT

Menounos limbers up at TB12 Sports in Foxboro

- by Olivia Vanni

It looks like Maria Menounos just received the TB12 treatment.

The Medford native, who’s been visiting with her family in New England, made a special stop at the Foxboro sports facility founded by Tom Brady and Alex Guerrero for some muscle work.

“It feels like she’s tearing apart my ovary but it’s gonna get me better, right?” Menounos said in an Instagram story while doing stretch work with TB12 Sports body coach Rebecca Coutts.

Specifically, the physical therapist and strength and conditioning specialist explained that the former E! News anchor was having issues with her Iliacus muscles in the front of her hips. Apparently, the muscles, which can cause back pain if they’re tight, are located underneath a couple of layers of abs, so Coutts really had to get in there.

“Now when you’re digging into my stomach, I understand a little bit more,” Menounos said while screaming, we think half-jokingly, for help.

Besides trying to up her pliability in Patriot Place, Menounos has mostly been spending quality time with her parents at their home in Connecticut. Mainly, she’s sitting back, meditating and cooking meals with ingredients picked straight from the garden, which they’ve all been eating together outside on their patio.

The star also shared that her fam has been preparing to throw a big party Saturday mostly in honor of her mother, Litsa, and her battle against brain cancer. The blowout will mark the three-year anniversary of the Menounos matriarch being diagnosed with a stage IV glioblastoma. But the bash will also serve as a celebration for her and her brother’s name days, which she said is a bigger deal than secular birthdays in Greek culture.
