AUSTINS IN BOSTON: Oh, momma. Exercise legend Denise Austin and her equally physically fit daughter, Katie Austin, will have local hearts pumping at the Boston Harbor Hotel next month. The mother-daughter duo will be teaching a special ’90s Retro Aerobic Pop Up Class from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 7. The workout, which will mark the first time the Austin gals will do a combined class, will be held outside, underneath the hotel’s iconic rotunda as part of its Summer in The City event series. Eager exercisers are encouraged to come dressed in ensembles reminiscent of the decade and ready to sweat, as the Austins throw it back with 50 minutes of aerobics and total body toning. Once the workout wraps, guests are invited to cool down with an afterparty hosted by KEEL Vodka at the hotel’s waterfront Harborwalk Terrace bar, where they can refuel with healthy bites and calorie-conscious cocktails. To secure your spot, grab a ticket through the class’s Eventbrite page.

GOT MILK: Emerson College will be opening its campus doors to Oscar-winning screenwriter and social activist Dustin Lance Black. Serving as the

2019 Semel Chair in Screenwriting, Black will be conducting a master class and workshop for students in Emerson’s low-residency MFA in Writing for Film and Television program. But Black, who earned an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for the 2008 movie “Milk,” will also be making himself available to the public next week. He’ll be hosting a free screening and discussion about the aforementioned film in the

Paramount Center’s Bright Family Screening Room at 7 p.m. Tuesday. In addition to “Milk,” this past spring Black also published his memoir “Mama’s Boy,” which follows his unlikely journey — from growing up in a conservative Mormon household in Texas to living the life of an LGBTQ activist. Projects currently on his plate apparently include two limited series — one that’s an adaptation of

Jon Krakauer’s book “Under the Banner of Heaven” and one that’s focused on Charles Lindbergh — as well as a biopic about civil rights organizer Bayard Rustin.
